Jack species in Panama are abundant in our Pacific waters. Most of these species are fast-swimming predatory fishes that hunt in the waters above reefs and in the open sea. Anglers will have an opportunity to fish for Bluefin Trevally, Pacific Amberjack, Roosterfish among others. The largest fish in the family, the Pacific Amberjack can grow to grows up to 6 feet in length. A trophy size Roosterfish is another species that can reach over 5 feet in length and over 110 pounds in weight. Casting topwater poppers is a favorite for many anglers. Stick bait and live Blue Runners are another form of catching these species. They are great fighters on light tackle when targeting these species.
