Sport Fishing in Panama
Sport fishing with us here at Come Fish Panama the last 5 days of February we had Ted Maffitt and the Urban group to provide most of the action along the coast and estuary due to the winds and offshore bite.
High Wind Conditions
We continue to have blue skies with scattered clouds along with blue water and a mixed swells around 2-5 feet offshore. The wind remained strong out of the North/Northeast which kept the Urban group closer to shore. During the mornings we had variable winds coming out of the NE at 7 to 13 knots which continued throughout the day.
Staying close to shore and sport fishing the estuaries and inshore area of Isla Paridas,
Las Tres Hermanas and other areas these anglers were able to hook up Black Snapper, Cubera Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Barred Snapper, Jack Crevalle, Pacific Spanish Mackerel to name a few. Ted hooked into Jack Crevalle and a nice Mullet Snapper.
This was not the best week for the Chiriqui Coast to provide our offshore anglers sport fishing due to the weather and the species not feeding. After having 7 weeks of awesome sport fishing the bite turned off . We feel badly when that happens, especially for the Urban group which came here to hook up 5 full days of bending rods. As a courtesy on their behalf Come Fish Panama has sent them a certificate for 2 free days of fishing on us. We look forward to them returning to sport fish with us here at CFP.
On behalf of the Come Fish Panama team, we would like to thank all our anglers that provided us an opportunity to take them sport fishing. We fully recognize that there are many other fishing charter providers out there and are grateful our customers chose us. Please excuse that the bite did not happen this week and only the fish gods know when it’s best. We look forward to these anglers fishing with us again very soon.
