“Capt Leggett KNOWS where the fish are!!!”

This was a great adventure for my husband and I. Come Fish Panama came to the dock of our lodge to pick us up. We stopped and bought bait and lobster (bonus) from a local fisherman, and used that bait to fish for larger bait, which was fun all in itself. After catching Bonita, we headed for the fishing grounds.

Along the way we saw a floating log, we stopped, put a line in the water and within minutes, my husband had a nice Dorado on the hook. We continued to the fishing grounds. We trolled for a little over an hour when my husband hooked a 250 lbs. plus Yellowfin Tuna.

It took longer to reel that big daddy in than to find and hook him. Capt Kerry Leggett not only coached my husband, he cheered him on encouraging him throughout the long fight. Once the YFT was in the boat, Kerry switched gears and became a professional photographer positioning my husband and the massive fish for optimal photo’s. My husband was completely worn out, so we decided to head to the grounds for Rooster fishing.

Along the way we saw dolphins and birds working the water, Kerry asked me if I wanted to try for a YFT, again, within minutes Kerry hooked me a YFT and handed me the tackle, I fought for just under an hour and again Kerry coached me, cheered me and most of all encouraged me to hang in there, that I could do it, and I did. It was an awesome experience.

This was indeed the best day of our trip. Kerry and Jose are an awesome team. They provided us an assortment of drinks snacks, fresh fruit and made us a gourmet sandwich’s to our liking. Jose did a beautiful job cleaning the fish, and Capt Leggett personally delivered it to our lodge so that my husband and I wouldn’t have to haul up the very long and steep dock up to the lodge.

Capt Leggett is passionate about his boat, gear and his customers experiences. We absolutely recommend Come Fish Panama Charters, and will definitely book our charter with Kerry and Jose next time we are in Panama. Last but not least, there is a wealth of truth in his motto, “Come as clients… leave as friends.”
